nice stuff as usual

very good stuff...i like the minimal-techno-like approach to it in the intro, as well as the kick ass beat that accompanies that oud (or whatever instrument it is).

it also builds up wonderfully.

secret chiefs is a project by three members of the now defunct mr.bungle, which was probably the best experimental rock band of the 90s (headed by Mike Patton)

LJCoffee responds:

Hey, nice to hear from ya! - I still haven't gotten a copy of anything by the Secret Chiefs - although I'm familiar with Mr. Bungle.

I'll have to look and see if you have anything new posted - if you don't, then I'll have to sit and wonder why not...

tasty tasty beats

man, that was some nice stuff, very good way to end a day just chilling back and listening to that.

although french is my first language i couldn't make out a word of what the voice was saying...sometimes delay can be tricky that way.

it creates a really nice atmosphere though.

LJCoffee responds:

Your english is a million times better than my french!

I don't even remember what the voices say - something along the lines of "Take me, in this filthy place...Fires of passion...??" something like that... It was a linguistic hack job though, it was English converted to French via bablefish and then run through a text to speech generator... plus with all of the effects on it it just becomes a jumbled mess anyway.

I appreciate the review!

ta-bar-nak!

...is what we say in good ol' québécois french to qualify work this goddamn amazing.

seriously, you make autechre look like kids playing with software they can't get to work properly.

;)

the sounds, the timbres, the rhythm structures, the noise...it's all there!!!!

LJCoffee responds:

You are far too kind!

Talk to you later.

dude...

your stuff is much more polished and accomplished than my music could ever hope to be....i don't really have the patience to make complete, well produced and arranged music.

this stuff is mind-blowing

if i have some time, eventually, a collab like you mentionned a while ago would be cool (i just got out of music for a while....but now i'M feeling more inspiration than i have in a long time)

so if you wanna trade ideas and tracks, here's my email : apoplexia666@gmail.com

LJCoffee responds:

Hey, I just sent you an email - as for being polished and accomplished... well, although I'm flattered, I would have said the same thing about some of your work. A collab would be great -

I'll talk to you later

daammmmnnn

that is really a really cool beat....very nicely syncopated...i really like the old-school aphex twin style melodies

Dj-Zabar responds:

Thank you very much for the review. Your definetly my favorite artist on NG, and its an honor to get your feedback. Ü

impressive....most impressive

that is quite an amazing track...i especially like the bubbly atmosphere created with the sample....the beat is also very nice.... i recognize a loop you have used...which in no way detracts from my enjoyment...prime material

LJCoffee responds:

Hey - thanks!
funny thing - I put this together shortly after listening to "Yakuza" so I guess in a way you actually helped to inspire me to do this piece!

Alot of your stuff is great - You should (if you haven't already) look into a few labels and get your stuff out on the shelves...

As far as recognizing a loop - I'm sure you did - I mainly use Acid Pro and a bunch of sonic foundry (now sony) loop libraries...

Thanks again for the review!

damn....:D

my mouth is foaming....this is so very good! you have achievec exactly what i would like do to right now, that is explore the world of glitchy beats and trip-hop (or whatever the devil kids call it these days)...
i am hooked.

LJCoffee responds:

Wow - thank you!

I'm actually sort of fond of D&B with a bit of lounge-ish (it's a word now)and/or jazzy stuff thrown in (check out "Jase & Bazz"

Either way - blending genres and twirling styles is awesome in my book...

Glitch is just all around fun - I love those beats that are almost uncomfortable to listen to and Trip-Hop(or whatever the devil kids call it these days) is just so invasive that I think you're going down a potentially big big road!

Good luck! I wish you the best...

Thanks again.

nice

very good, but needs more diversity, more variations in the beats and melodie

the sounds are pretty good though

randomdude responds:

Tanx dude, should check out my track Ghetto_Blastin' .Personally it's my fav that ive made seems no one esle thinks so lol =\

nice :D

that is quite cool indeed! it feels like old skool jungle the likes of goldie would make back in the early 90's

tight shit! keep it up!:)

you should get some fatter basses though, that would definitly step up your game a notch

Ineptitude responds:

yeah, i still need work on my basses and melodies. i've focused a lot on beats and haven't spent the same time on synths, strings, and the like. we'll see... more to come soon enough.

damn that's good!

very nice complex beatz!! definitly rocks! keep it up dude! nice synths too! jah!:D

Ineptitude responds:

thanks a lot, man. i've been working on my beats quite a bit lately. the synths are nothing special, i just wanted to try my hand at that cool dieselboy sort of feel. :)
